The University Relations team manages Proofpoint’s multi-national Intern and New College Grad (NCG) program. We are looking for a University Recruiter to join our growing, high performing University Relations team in Sunnyvale, CA. Reporting to the Sr. Manager of Recruiting, you will represent Proofpoint on campus, and will be responsible for recruiting both technical and non-technical interns and NCGs into a variety of open positions. In addition to partnering with hiring managers to understand their talent requirements, you will work closely with the internal UR team to strategize on ways to target top talent, ensure manager engagement and implement program improvements and enhancements. This is an exciting opportunity for a bold, detail-oriented individual who understands the impact of a corporate internship as well as providing a positive intern / new grad experience.
Sourcing and recruiting talented interns and grads from target universities, using your knowledge of various on-campus programs, activities, etc.
Attend on campus career fairs, info-sessions or similar college recruiting events nationwide, as a Proofpoint representative
Manage and participate in all university campus teams in preparing for on-campus events, and debriefing following the events
Partnering with managers to identify and screen candidates
Understand our culture to help assess candidate fit on behalf of hiring managers, hiring teams and Proofpoint
Gather competitive intelligence on recruiting efforts on-campus and develop strategies on competing effectively for top interns/graduates
Maintain data and metrics on a regular basis
Provide recommendations on process improvements and enhancements
What you bring to the team
2-4 years of direct college recruiting experience (technical intern recruiting experience a plus!)
Campus relations, research and outreach experience
2+ years using an ATS for sourcing, tracking and managing candidates
Understanding of the fast-paced nature of recruiting and working with a sense of urgency
Strong attention to detail, including an eye for formatting and aesthetics
Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple competing priorities
Ability to travel domestically to attend recruiting events/career fairs
A strong drive to ensure candidates have the best experience when applying to and interviewing at Proofpoint
