The Role

Proofpoint is looking for a Senior software engineer on the Targeted Attack Protection (TAP) team to work on designing, building and deploying a large-scale cloud-based web portals and APIs where our customers go to understand the advanced threats that are attacking them. Our portal provides rich insights about the threats that are targeting their industry and the specific individuals within their enterprise. You will be challenged with rapid customer growth, dealing with large scale data volumes that requires true “big data” technologies and solutions.

Your day-to-day

  • Work with other members of team and deliver frontend and backend features.

  • You will be working with technologies like Java, ReactJS, Elasticsearch, MariaDB, Micro services, Kubernetes etc.

  • Participate in design reviews

  • Participate in development and code reviews

  • Work with QA teams in building good test coverage and enable continuous integration and delivery.

What you bring to the team

  • Strong coding skills in java and/or similar programming languages

  • High energy, positive attitude and attention to details

  • Experience with relational and non-relational database systems

  • Experience with the latest container and deployment technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc is a plus

  • Experience in dealing with high volume of events and exposure to technologies like Kafka is a plus

  • Experience in dealing with big data pipelines, analytics and visualization is a huge plus.
