The Role

The AWS Financial Analyst reports to the Director, Cloud Finance working across a portfolio of Engineering and Operations for a wide range of Proofpoint SaaS offerings utilizing our Amazon Web Services (AWS), Google Cloud (GCP), Microsoft Azure & other Cloud infrastructure. Business partnership with senior leaders across the company.

Your day-to-day

  • Assist with management of IaaS spend & development within our SaaS product portfolio.

  • Identify and drive optimizations within our cloud infrastructure, heavily within AWS.

  • Manage and enhance automation of AWS fiscal accounting and bookkeeping.

  • Apply Financial and data modeling experience, assist with cost reduction activities across product lines, cost allocation methodologies across the products/services, and contribute to forecasting of monthly and quarterly costs for IaaS-hosted Proofpoint products.

  • Analyze & develop recommendations to improve margins of our SaaS offerings.

  • Implement business processes for new projects and continuous improvement for existing processes.

  • Participate in regular financial planning process and preparation of financial & AWS analytics packages.

What you bring to the team

  • 2-3 years of experience in Finance/Engineering/Product Management (preferred).

  • Prior experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) – highly preferred.

  • Mastery of Excel & Experience creating and maintaining complex financial models & data sets.

  • Intellectual curiosity & willingness to grow into taking ownership in business partnering.

  • Ability to work independently, within a rapidly growing & evolving environment.

  • Experience in a SaaS company working with Ops/Engineering/DevOps teams a big plus.

  • Bachelors in finance, Economics, CS, or Engineering.

  • MBA/CPA a plus factor.

  • Experience presenting and partnering with senior leadership a big plus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets as set out below. Pay within these ranges varies and depends on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. The range provided may represent a candidate range and may not reflect the full range for an individual tenured employee. This role may be eligible for variable pay and/or equity. We offer a competitive benefits package that includes flexible time off, a robust well-being program that provides for 4 global wellbeing days per year, and a 3-week work from anywhere option.

Base Pay Ranges:

SF Bay Area, New York City Metro Area:

Base Pay Range: 105,420.00 - 165,660.00 USD

California (excludes SF Bay Area), Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Washington DC Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Texas, Washington, Virginia, and Alaska:

Base Pay Range: 88,340.00 - 138,820.00 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 79,170.00 - 124,410.00 USD
