Proofpoint is searching for a talented and passionate Field Marketing Manager who can lead our European and Asia Pacific regional marketing team (6 people currently) to help define, manage and roll-out the different regional marketing plans aligned with sales and marketing priorities in order to continue building Proofpoint international presence by enhancing our brand awareness and equity in the region and ultimately delivering quality pipeline.
This position is an excellent management opportunity at a fast-growing, cloud-based software cybersecurity company that is rapidly expanding internationally. As a member of our international marketing leadership team that also includes Demand Generation, Channel Marketing, Product Marketing and PR/Communication you will be in unique position to drive our marketing strategy and continued success.
As the head of Field Marketing for EMEA and APJ, your team will be responsible for defining, managing and executing the marketing plans for international markets. More specifically they will roll-out integrated campaigns and programs, online and offline, against an annual and quarterly marketing plan and budget, working closely with sales, product marketing, and corporate marketing teams. Your team will be tasked with identifying audience segmentation, channel and media mix recommendation, and reporting on results against targets (Responses, Marketing Qualified leads and Marketing contribution to pipeline).
Manage and develop a team of 6 Marketing managers covering 4 regions in EMEA and 2 regions in APJ to enhance our brand awareness and deliver quality pipeline
Develop a strong ‘’pipeline’’ mindset, culture and discipline in your team and in the rest of the Marketing organization
In collaboration with the EMEA and APJ sales and marketing leadership, define, communicate and roll-out marketing plans for all 6 regions including Account-Based Marketing
Specifically, your team will be responsible for the following:
Develop and execute measurable regional demand generation programs that drive brand awareness and pipeline, with quarterly accountability for lead & pipeline creation. Such programs may include: webinars, content syndication, online advertising, etc.
Manage and execute both proofpoint-led and 3rd party events
Develop cross-sell/up-sell as well as competitive take-out marketing programs to expend our footprint
Ensure sales and marketing interlock, actively participate to quarterly EMEA and APJ sales meetings
Collaborate with other Marketing functions to define market specific strategies
Analysis of regional marketing performance and recommendations for optimization and future enhancements
Provide quarterly regional business reporting and analysis on all programs and campaigns run in region. KPIs will be set against #Responses, #MQs and Marketing contribution to pipeline
What you bring to the team
Extensive field marketing experience in SaaS, Cloud or IT Security enterprise software
Management experience of EMEA and APJ marketing teams and experience managing agencies
Ability to form and grow strategic internal partnerships across functions and across regions
Strong organizational skills and ability to create and roll-out simple processes to help structure our international marketing organization
Good knowledge of B2B marketing mix including social, digital, online and offline (event marketing)
Experience with Account Based Marketing methodology and tactics
Innovative and creative thinker who contributes valuable new ideas and insights
Resilience, drive and adaptability to thrive in a fast-changing market
Strong English language written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Second European language is a plus
Ability to travel (20-30 % of time max)
