The Role

Proofpoint is the fastest growing publicly listed cyber security firm globally (multiple Gartner MQ and Forrester Wave leader), protecting Social Media, Cloud applications, mobile apps and Email channels.

As Major Account Manager you will responsible for representing the company in Enterprise scale customer engagements and will help define strategy on all commercial activity within your territory and accounts.

The role will demand interaction with large scale enterprises at the CISO level, as well as with technical staff within the security and exchange IT organisation. This individual will also work well with their team of sales engineers, as well as with partners and leverage the power of corporate resources within their account base.

Your responsibilities will include establishing strong business relationships with major customers, reseller and OEM partners, while attaining your key performance objectives and revenue goals. You will also interact with Proofpoint management to define, implement and execute a successful strategy for your region.

Your day-to-day

  • Engaging new logo prospects within territory and delivering the Proofpoint proposition

  • Focus on Enterprise scale opportunities from 10,000 users+

  • Recruiting, training and monitoring sales channel partners

  • Developing sales strategies to penetrate new accounts

  • Working with Marketing and other departments to further company’s strategy

  • Compiling, analysing sales figures using CRM tools

  • Providing accurate weekly sales forecasts

  • Direct interaction with and development of large customer opportunities / accounts

  • Providing customer feedback to Sales, Technical and Marketing Management

  • Keeping up to date with products and competitors

  • Meet or exceed Regional revenue quota

  • Working with Sales Management to meet and exceed your sales annual targets

What you bring to the team

  • We are looking for a Senior Enterprise Sales Executive who is familiar with the Information Security space and can clearly articulate Proofpoint’s value proposition to a ‘C’ Level audience

  • The successful candidate will be extremely results oriented, possess a strong business acumen, combined with a proven ability to build a strong business pipeline, accurately forecast and close business with strong interpersonal and presentational skills

  • Commercially aware professional with executive presence, ability to understand the security threat landscape, and become the trusted advisor of the CISO

  • Ability to interact and work with and influence senior stakeholders in the company

  • Ability to work independently and must be able to thrive in a fast paced, start-up environment

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent preferred

  • Fluent German and English essential
